’FAMILY SECRETS’’ BY GOSIA JUSZCZAK AT THE FUTURE MEMORY LAB PITCHING SESSION DURING JI.HLAVA IDFF
The documentary project 'Family Secrets’, directed by Gosia Juszczak (creative producer: Magda Juszczak; editor: Ada Leszczyńska; produced by the Fragment Foundation), will be presented at this year’s Future Memory Lab as part of the 30th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
The film explores the theme of family secrets and the untold stories of women. Through a personal family history, it offers a broader reflection on how women’s experiences are remembered or erased, and how gaps in family memory affect subsequent generations.
The pitch session will take place on 29 October 2026 from 7.30 pm to 9.15 pm on the main stage of the Industry Hub at the Horácké Theatre in Jihlava.
Future Memory Lab is a programme dedicated to innovative ways of working with film archives and found footage. Over the course of several months, the programme supports filmmakers in developing projects that use archival material as a starting point for contemporary film narratives.
‘Family Secrets’ was selected for the Czech Future Memory Lab programme as the sole international project.
This year’s edition of Ji.hlava Industry takes place from 27 to 30 October, bringing together representatives of the international documentary industry.
