FOUR POLISH PRODUCTIONS NOMINATED FOR SILVER EYE

We already know the titles of films whose producers have a chance to receive the Silver Eye award. The selected films also include Polish productions and co-productions. The winners of the 12th edition of the awards will be traditionally announced during this year's festival in Jihlava.

The Silver Eye is a distinction that is unique among other film awards as it is awarded to the producer, not the director of the film. The award is intended to support the promotion and distribution of the film abroad. The films participating in the market are divided into three categories - short, medium and full feature films. Apart from the statuette, the winners will receive a cash prize and a yearly representation of the film in the East Silver Caravan, which is synonymous with the promotion of the winning film at over 130 most important film festivals and fairs in the world.

This year, four Polish documentaries produced or co-produced by Poland received a nomination for the Silver Eye Awards. In the short film category, the producers of "We Have One Heart" by Katarzyna Warzecha and "Son Of The Streets" by Mohammed Almughanni are competing for the statuette. In turn, in the full-length category, "Say Yes / No" by Paweł Hajbudzki and the co-production of "Salt from Bonneville" by Simon Mozgovya were nominated.

We would like to remind you that last year the special Silver Eye award went to the producers of the feature-length "Wind. A Documentary Thriller" by Michał Bielawski. The producer of this documentary is Maciej Kubicki representing Telemark Sp. z o.o.
