FESTIVALS IN FEBRUARY

In February, festival life slowly begins to gather speed. Check out where you can see Polish documentary films this month.

The festival which started in January is the Göteberg Film Festival, where there are two Polish documentary films in the competition, "Call Me Marianna" by Karolina Bielawska and "The Dybbuk. A Tale of Wandering Souls"  by Krzysztof Kopczyński. The latter will also appear in the programme of the Washington Jewish Film Festival in the USA.

"The Place" by Julia Popławska will have three competition screenings in February. The film will be shown at Iquique Film Festival in Chile, Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival in Spain, where "Casa Blanca" by Aleksandra Maciuszek will also compete for the awards, and at the Mountain Film Festival Domzale in Slovakia, together with "Jurek" by Paweł Wysoczański.

In the middle of the month, ASI Film Festival starts in the USA, where the audience will watch "Starting Point" by Michał Szcześniak, and a couple of days later starts ZagrebDox, at which "The End of the World" by Monika Pawluczuk will be shown.

In February, one of the most important short film festivals in held in Clermont Ferrand, where "A Documentary Film" by Marcin Podolec is invited to the competition.
