POLISH FILMS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!

Krakow Film Foundation has started its new project: Krakow Film Market Online. Currently, there are already more than 70 newest Polish films available!

Krakow Film Market Online Video Library is a new initiative of Krakow Film Festival and an expansion of Krakow Film Market which is organised for 7 years now. The main objective of the project is to promote Polish films abroad and facilitate their international distribution. By launching this project we’d like to provide potential users with the unlimited access to Polish films at any chosen moment.

Online Video Library is the first and the only platform presenting Polish films on this scale. It is aimed at film professionals and it offers the biggest selection of the newest and the finest Polish documentary, animated and short films. Every year the catalogue will be supplemented with new titles.

Currently, there are more than 70 titles in the Online Video Library including the Laureates of 52nd Krakow Film Festival, such as:

·        “Watermelon” by Tato Kotetishivili – the laureate of Silver Hobby-Horse for the Director of the Best Fiction Film,

·         “Freestyle life” by Adam Palenta awarded with The President of the Association of Polish Filmmakers Award and a Special Mention of International Short Film Competition,

·          “Harbour of hope” by Magnus Gertten awarded with Special Mention in National Competition,

·        “Walk” by Filip Jacobson – the laureate of The Student Jury Award,

·         “The railway watchman” by Piotr Szczepanowicz – the laureate of The President of TVP S.A. (Polish Television) Award

·         “My notes from underground” by Jacek Petrycki awarded with Maciej Szumowski Award.

Above mentioned and all the other films from Online Video Library will be available for free throughout the whole year to film professionals from all around the world. After the first month Online Video Library has already over 100 registered viewers, among them festival programmers, distributors and commissioning editors from all over the world. This number is growing continuously.

Online Video Library enables viewers not only to browse and watch films in the system but also to contact the producers, make comments, take notes, create top lists and more.
