KLAUDIA FORTUNIAK’S “DREAM UP THE TITLE” WINS AN AWARD AT THE IDROMENO FILM FESTIVAL IN ALBANIA

The film “Dream Up the Title”, directed by Klaudia Fortuniak and produced by the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź (PWSFTviT), has returned from the Idromeno International Film Festival in Albania with the award for the Best Student Film. The festival’s fifth edition took place in Shkodër from 3 to 9 October 2026.

The Idromeno International Film Festival is a relatively young event that uses contemporary cinema to explore new perspectives and metaphysical themes through everyday experiences. This year’s edition showcased spiritual and poetic films that delve into the essence of humanity, explore human nature, and reveal both the darker and more beautiful aspects of reality.

The festival programme features three competitions: short and student films, feature films, and animated films. In the first category, the award for Best Student Film went to Klaudia Fortuniak’s “Dream Up the Title”.

This is another accolade for the film, which previously received an Honourable Mention at the 32nd Etiuda & Anima International Film Festival in Kraków, as well as two awards at Paradiso Film Fest in Sicily – for Best Director and Best Costume Design.

The film follows Małgorzata, a neurodivergent young woman trying to find her place in a neurotypical world. In Łódź, a city without rivers, she sets off on a journey tracing their dried-up riverbeds. Her path leads her through the twists and turns of a dreamlike group excursion, an encounter with a man on a white stallion, and a world of norms she is expected to conform to.
