POLISH PROJECT IN THE PROGRAMME OF THE IDFA FORUM

This year, the project of the film “Euromaidan Almanac” will participate in the IDFA Forum pitching, which accompanies the IDFA Festival. This film, produced by Doc’n’World Foundation, is the only Polish project invited to participate in IDFA Forum 2014.

The project “Euromaidan Almanac” is the only Polish film inivted to participate in this year’s edition of the IDFA Forum pitching, which will be held in Amsterdam from 24 to 26 November. Eight directors worked together on this film: Alisa Kovalenko, Denis Strashny, Ielizaveta Smith, Kateryna Gornostai, Kristina Liulchenko, Liubov Durakova, Matej Bobrik and Olya Zhurba. The film consists of seven intertwining personal stories of the participants of the dramatic events which took place on the Euromaidan in Kiev. The producer of the film is the Doc’n’World Foundation, and the distributor - Against Gravity.

For three days of the IDFA Forum, about 50 teams consisting of directors and producers will have a chance to present their projects to the decision-makers from the documentary film industry, who are invited to the festival. About 20 projects are shown within the frames of the Central Pitching, which is attended every year by about 25 commissioning editors from the leading broadcasters from around the world and about 300 observers. About 25 projects participate in the more private Round Table Pitches, where they are presented to a small group of commissioning editors who showed interest in specific titles.
