TWO NEW AWARDS FOR “OUR CURSE”!

Last weekend was very successful for Tomasz Śliwiński. His film “Our Curse” was given two awards - the Best Documentary award at Sapporo International Short Film Festival and the Best Student Film award at Chagrin Documentary Film Festival in Chagrin Falls, USA.

In spite of the autumn atmosphere, “Our Curse” does not slow down for a moment. After winning lately awards at Look & Roll Festival in Switzerland and at Raindance Film Festival in Great Britain, last weekend the film by Tomasz Śliwiński was awarded at two film festivals.

At Sapporo International Short Film Festival “Our Curse” was chosen the Best Documentary Film of the One Title competition section. The international jury, which assessed films in this competition, included: Koji Marimoto - animated film director from Japan, Thomas Ian Nicholas - actor, director, producer and musician from the USA, Erina Fujiwara - photographer from Japan, Jukka-Pekka Lasso - the director of Tampere Film Festival, and Roy-kyoung Chun - producer from South Korea.

The documentary by Tomasz Śliwiński was also appreciated at Chagrin Documentary Film Festival in the town of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, in the United States. The festival jury honoured “Our Curse” with the Best Student Film award. The award ceremony was held on Saturday, 11 October.
