POLISH PROJECT AWARDED AT SAN SEBASTIAN FESTIVAL
December by Grzegorz Paprzycki – produced by Telemark and Just a moment received the Dogwoof Award at the recently concluded festival in San Sebastian.
The International Film Festival in San Sebastián is one of the most important festivals in the world. The event has been taking place in San Sebastián in Spain since 1953. The main award in the competition, awarded by the jury to best film of the event, is the Golden Shell. The film program is also accompanied by an industry segment, also for documentary filmmakers.
It was at the Xix Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum where the project of Grzegorz Paprzycki's new film was presented. December was noticed and received the Dogwoof Award.
Produced by Telemark and Just a moment, the documentary is a story about borders, emigrants, and refugees. The director takes us right into the middle of a border crisis.
The festival was held on 22–30 September 2023. in San Sebastián.
