POLISH DOCUMENTARIES AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN MARCH

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb indeed. Some festivals are going to take place while others have been postponed in anticipation of more favourable conditions. Fortunately, the former are still going to feature Polish documentaries. Do check out where and which films will be screened at international festivals this month.

It looks like a promising month for Katarzyna Warzecha's animated documentary. “We Have One Heart” is going to be shown in Austria at the Tricky Women/Tricky Realities Animation Festival and at the end of the month it will be shown at the Ukrainian Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival and the Kaboom Animation Festival in the Netherlands.

Tampere Film Festival will be held in the first half of the month. The non-competition segment of the Finnish festival will feature Karol Lindholm's “In a Lion”. A short time later, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital will begin, where you will have the opportunity to watch Gosia Juszczak's “Stolen Fish”.

Mecal Pro, Barcelona International Short and Animation Festival, and Melbourne Design Week will all be held at the turn of March and April. The competition segment of the Spanish festival includes Weronika Jurkiewicz's “The Vibrant Village”, while in Australia “The Wind. A Documentary Thriller” by Michał Bielawski is going to enjoy yet another screening.
