POLISH DOCUMENTARIES NOMINATED FOR IDA

We've learned the films nominated for the IDA Documentary Awards. There's a number of Polish films among the selected productions, which have been recognised in several categories.

The International Documentary Association (IDA for short) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1982 to promote documentary film. For thirty years, the organisation's members have been awarding IDA prizes to the best documentary productions of the year.

Two Polish co-productions are going to compete for the title of the best feature-length documentary – Maciek Hamela's In The Rearview and Leia Glob's Apolonia, Apolonia. The latter has been nominated in several categories. The Polish-Danish-French production about the young artist was also recognised for its direction, writing, and editing. Jakub Piątek's Pianoforte was nominated in the category of musical documentaries.
