POLISH EAGLES NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

The nominations for the Polish Film Awards have just been announced. The following will compete for the title of the best Polish documentary: Angels of Sinjar by Hanna Polak, The Pawnshop by Łukasz Kowalski, The Fledglings by Lidia Duda, Silent Love by Marek Kozakiewicz and The Hamlet Syndrome by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski.

The “Eagles” Polish Film Awards, the annual awards of the Polish Film Academy, have been organized for the Polish Film Academy by the Independent Film Foundation since 1999. The idea came from Dariusz Jabłoński, film director and producer, current President of the Polish Film Academy.

This year, nominations for the title of best documentary include: Angels of Sinjar by Hanna Polak, The Pawnshop  by Łukasz Kowalski, The Fledglings by Lidia Duda, Silent Love by Marek Kozakiewicz and The Hamlet Syndrome by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski.

Winners will be announced on 20 April during the Award Ceremony.
