POLISH DOCUMENTARIES AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN DECEMBER

Festival life dies down a little towards the end of the year, which doesn't mean that you won't be able to watch Polish documentaries at international events. Check out where to see our productions in December.

The Human Rights Film Festival Zurich has launched at the beginning of December. The program includes a screening of The Hamlet Syndrome by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski. The Macau International Short Film Festival is taking place in a similar timeframe, where you'll get to see Monika Proba's Light Years. Right after that, the documentary will travel to South America for the BOGOSHORTS Bogotá Short Film Festival in Colombia.

The Swiss event isn't the only film festival dedicated to human rights this month. The Human Right Film Festival in Lund will take place in Sweden. Its audience will watch Kacper Lisowski's Judges Under Pressure, among others. This politically engaged documentary will also be presented to the Turkish audience at the HRFT 13th Human Rights Documentary Film Days.

The Iran International Documentary Film Festival “Cinema Verite” will feature two Polish short documentaries – Balcony Concert by Diana and Krzysztof Kadłubowski and Only The Wind by Zofia Kowalewska.

Two festivals with Polish documentaries will be taking place in China during Christmas. Fat Kathy by Julia Pełka will be competing for awards at the International Short Film Festival Canton, while the Beijing International Short Film Festival will feature Konrad Kultys' Atrophia.
