POLISH DOCUMENTARIES AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN JUNE

The first summer vacation month is right around the corner. The pandemic isn't going away, but more and more festivals are opting for hybrid forms, so some productions will also have a chance to appear on the big screen. Polish documentaries are also among such films. Our productions will be shown in Greece, Croatia, New Zealand, and France, among others.

The Greek festival Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival has been postponed to June. Its competition program features “The Wind. A Documentary Thriller”. Michał Bielawski's film will also be present in the UK at the Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival. Then, at the end of the month, the film will be screened at Festival Kinopolska. The program of this French festival also includes “The Symphony of the Ursus Factory” by Jaśmina Wójcik and “Diagnosis” by Ewa Podgórska.

Gosia Juszczak's film will also enjoy quite a lot of screenings this month. “Stolen Fish” will be the opening film at Slovakia's One World Film Festival. Then, the film will visit the DOC EDGE International Documentary Film Festival in New Zealand, the New Jersey International Film Festival; it will open the Filmový festival Jeden svet in Slovakia, the Festival of Migrant Film in Slovenia, and the Norwegian Short Film Festival. You will also get the opportunity to see Paweł Łoziński's “Masks and Men” at the last one.

ZagrebDox – International Documentary Film Festival will begin in mid-June. Its competitive segment includes “An Ordinary Country” by Tomasz Wolski and the short film “Anew” by Zofia Sawicka. ECOFEST 2021, the International Ecology Film Festival in Romania, will take place at a similar time. There, “Zhalanash - Empty Shore” by Marcin Sauter will compete for prizes.

The jury of the Euganea Film Festival in Italy will have the opportunity to award “The Whale from Lorino” by Maciej Cuske, while that of the American Palm Springs International ShortFest is going to take a look at “We Have One Heart” directed by Katarzyna Warzecha.
