“THE VIBRANT VILLAGE” WINS AUDIENCE AWARD

The audience of the Mecal Pro festival has decided that Weronika Jurkiewicz's film deserves the title of best short documentary.

Mecal Pro International Short and Animation Film Festival has been held in sunny Barcelona for over 20 years. The event enjoys extensive popularity not just in its home country, but also abroad – every year its organisers receive over 5,000 film submissions from all over the world.

The award-winning documentary is set in a quiet Hungarian village where men gather to drink beer at a bar. Meanwhile, women are busy with work, contributing to the mass production of sexual satisfaction.

This year's edition of the festival started on 22 March and ended on 22 April. It was also available online.
