STANISŁAW ZABOROWSKI IN THE EMERGING PRODUCERS PROGRAMME

Emerging Producers is a programme, focusing on education and promotion, dedicated to talented documentary film producers from the European Union countries, which accompanies the festival in Jihlava. This year, the Polish film producer Stanisław Zaborowski will participate in it.

The aim of the project is to integrate the new generation of producers with professionals who have been working for many years in different fields of the film industry, which is to bear fruit in the future and result in European documentary film co-productions. The organisers want to create a friendly environment, enabling diverse and creative projects to confront the specialists at film markets.

Producers who apply for the programme should be present at the local film market for a couple of years and have at least one completed film, which was distributed in cinemas or screened at festivals. Candidates also have to have the ambition to create productions for the European audience in co-operation with other companies from the European Union.

This year producer and production manager Stanisław Zaborowski has qualified to enter the program. He is a producer and co-owner of the Silver Frame production house. He graduated from Andrzej Wajda’s Master Film School and also studied at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. He has worked in several media companies. Vice-president of Young Producer section in Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber of Commerce. Producer and co-producer documentary and feature movies. In 2018 he made his documentary debut with Occupation 1968, in co-production with Péter Kerekes.

Polish producer Anna Gawlita / KIJORA Films participated in the previous edition of the programme.

Emerging Producers, organised and co-ordinated by Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, is held from 26 to 28 October 2017.
