'JOANNA' WITH HONORABLE MENTION IN CLEVELAND

The documentary by Aneta Kopacz won honorable mention in the Best Women's Short Film category at the International Film Festival in Cleveland.

This year, the 39th edition of the International Film Festival in Cleveland was held. This is one of the five most important film reviews in the USA. At the festival, films from 60 countries were shown, including 193 feature-length films and 34 short films, and the audience amounted to over 100 000 viewers.

Joanna - the eponymous protagonist of the documentary - relishes every moment in spite of being diagnosed with a serious illness. She promised her son that she would do anything to be with him as long as possible. She does not give up. For Jaś, she writes a blog in which she describes their everyday life - in a simple and accurate way. The blog itself inspires many readers to attentive, happy life. The film shows fragments from the life of Joanna, her husband Piotr and son Jaś. Played in discrete observations, atmospheric, often even funny.  The film is simple and sensual, it tells about looking on life and about love.
