• POLISH FILMS IN THE INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION AT KRAKOW FILM FESTIVAL

    A black and white record of Polish reality from the ‘80s and contemporary footage of the border crisis may be 40 years apart, but what they share is a narrative dictated from the very top. Silent Trees by Agnieszka Zwiefka and A Year in the Life of the Country by Tomasz Wolski are the first Polish titles in the program of the 64th Krakow Film Festival. Both films have been invited to the International Documentary Competition.

    The documentary by Maciek Hamela continues to captivate audiences and international festival jurors, as evidenced by two awards at the Rencontres du Cinéma Européen Film Festival. The film received the main prize in the DocDocDoc competition as well as the Audience Award.

  • SIX AWARDS FOR POLISH PROJECTS AT EAST DOC PLATFORM PLUS THE SILVER EYE AWARD

    The winners of East Doc Platform were announced yesterday. Polish projects presented at the East Doc Forum went on stage a total of six times. This year's main award went to Łukasz Konopa's Under His Spell while three prizes went to Birdie by Aneta Ptak. Letters by Andrei Kutsila and Keepers of the Ruins by Maria Shevchenko were also awarded, and Adelina Borets' Flowers of Ukraine received the Silver Eye Award.
