MACIEJ ADAMEK’S "UNSPOKEN" RECEIVES SPECIAL JURY AWARD AT A U.S. FESTIVAL
The documentary "Unspoken", directed by Maciej Adamek, has received the Special Jury Award in the mid-length documentary category at the Frozen River Film Festival in the United States. The festival took place from February 1-8 and presented 60 documentary films from around the world.
Frozen River Film Festival is dedicated exclusively to documentary cinema and is held every winter with the mission of creating space for reflection, conversation, and connection through film. Its program focuses on works that inspire curiosity and dialogue, celebrating the art of filmmaking in both local and international contexts.
"Unspoken" is a multi-award-winning documentary, widely screened at international festivals, portraying Mateusz, a 26-year-old man who stutters, as he relentlessly pursues his childhood dream of becoming Polish champion in acrobatics. Told with intimacy and sensitivity, the film explores determination, self-discipline, and the process of overcoming personal limitations.
