POLISH DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT THE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVALS IN DECEMBER

The end of the year is in the air. The number of festivals is decreasing, but this does not mean that Polish documentary film will not appear at a part of them. In December, our films will be shown in Spain, Greece, China, Russia and Colombia. Let's find out which documentary film productions will have their festival screenings this month.

In the second half of November, in Spain started the several-week-long Soria International Film Festival. In the competition, there was the film "In A Lion" by Karol Lindholm. At the end of the previous month, the Greek Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People started. "19:91" by Emilia Śniegoska will compete for the awards.

On the 3rd of December start as many as three festivals at which there will be no lack of Polish documentary films in the competition sections. At the China International New Media Short Film Festival "The Tough" has a chance to win.The film by Marcin Polar will compete for the awards at the Colombian Bogoshorts. In the competition, it will be accompanied by the debut film by Anna Gawlita, "Horse Riders." The China International New Media Short Film Festival is not the only Chinese festival starting at the beginning of December. At the same time, the Sound & Image Challenge International Festival is held. In the programme of that festival, you can find two Polish documentary films: "The Briefing" by Filip Drzewiecki and "Dam" by Natalia Koniarz. 

A few days later, the Artdocfest starts in Russia. "Shadows of the Empire" by Karol Starnowski will have its special screening there.
