POLISH REPRESENTATION AT THE FESTIVAL IN CROATIA

Three Polish short films – documentaries by Renata Gabryjelska and Tomasz Wysokiński, as well as short feature film by Leszek Korusiewicz – will take part in the competitions at the forthcoming Zagreb Film Festival.

At this year’s Zagreb Film Fest­ival will be held from 17th to 23rd of October, offering the Croatian audience an extremely rich film pro­gramme, diverse as far as the form, genre and top­ics are con­cerned. Fea­ture films as well as doc­u­ment­ar­ies, short as well as feature­long films are shown.

The films presented at the festival will compete for the main prize, “The Golden Pram”, in each of four competition section: feature film’s competition, documentary film’s competition, short feature film’s competition and also Croatian film’s competition.

The following Polish short films qualified for this year’s competition programme of Zagreb Film Festival: Renata Gabryjelska’s documentary film “Getting on”, depicting a com­plic­ated rela­tion­ship between mother and her daughter, also Tomasz Wysokiński’s “Incantatio” – documentary story about one of the most famous Polish performers, who is passionately fond of butoh dance, and short fiction film by Leszek Korusiewicz, „The scent of flowers does not blow against the wind” that refer­s to the Deca­logue First Com­mand­ment “You shall have no other gods before me” and has been accom­plished as a part of “Deca­logue 89+” pro­ject.
