DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVALS IN OCTOBER

In October, it gets cooler outside, whereas at the festivals, it gets really hot. This month, Polish documentary films will appear in Georgia at the festival Cinedoc, as well as at the Mexican DocsMX. Where else can you watch Polish productions?

At the beginning of the month, in Luxembourg, the Central And Eastern European Film Festival is held, where "Snails" by Grzegorz Szczepaniak and "A Documentary Film" by Marcin Podolec are included in the programme. The animated documentary film will also appear at the festival Primanima World Festival for First Animation in Hungary, together with the latest work by Marcin Podolec - "The Gentle Giant," which would be shown at Klik! Amsterdam Animation Festival in the Netherlands, too. "Snails" were invited also to Unabhängiges Filmfest in Germany.

Both the film by Grzegorz Szczepaniak and the animation by Marcin Podolec are included in the programme of the Mexican festival DocsMX. Apart from them, in Central America you can watch also "21 x New York City" by Piotr Stasik, which will have its international première there, "Alisa in Warland" by Alisa Kovalenko and Lubova Durakova, "The End of the World" by Monika Pawluczuk, "Habitat" by Arjun Talwar and Oliver Krüger, "K2. Touching the Sky" by Eliza Kubarska, "Cheerleaders" by Sławomir Witek and "Casa Blanca" by Aleksandra Maciuszek. "Casa Blanca" can boast many screenings this month, because in addition to Mexico, the film by Aleksandra Maciuszek will be shown at Margaret Film Festival in the USA, at Women Make Waves Film Festival in Taiwan, at the Lithuanian festival Inconvenient Film Festival, where it will be presented together with the documentary film "The Dybbuk. A Tale of Wandering Souls" by Krzysztof Kopczyński, as well as at Cinedoc-Tbilisi in Georgia, together with "Brothers" by Wojciech Staroń.

In October, "The End of the World" will be shown also at the festival North American Film Festival. In the United States, there will also be the screening of the film "Two Worlds" by Maciej Adamek at the United Nations Association Film Festival, the documentary film "A Brave Bunch. Children of Warsaw Uprising" will participate in the competition at Tallgrass Film Festival, while "Second Life" by Eugeniusz Pankov will appear at the Imagine Science Film Festival.

At the Slovakian festival Etnofilm Cadca, the film "Strongwoman" by Kacper Czubak is included in the competition, and at Indiecork in Ireland, you can watch "Object" by Paulina Skibińska.
