DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT THE FESTIVALS IN AUGUST

August is a good month to go to the mountains. It is also a good month to go to the mountain film festival, because you can find Polish documentary films in the programme there. Check out where else you can watch native productions - not only the ones about mountains.

In the last days of July, started the Italian Festival Cervino Cinemountain, where the films "Jurek" by Paweł Wysoczański and "The Place" were shown. The short documentary film by Julia Popławska is also invited to the programme of the mountain film festival Ushuaina Shh in Argentina. There, also in the competition section, the film "Sati" by Bartłomiej Świderski will be shown. The third mountain film festival, at which you can get acquainted with Polish documentary film, is the International Mountaineering Film Festival in Teplice nad Metuji in the Czech Republic. There, the viewers will see "K2. Touching the Sky" by Eliza Kubarska.

However, August does not equal only mountains. In the half of the month, in South Korea at Jacheon International Music & Film Festival, in the competition there is the documentary film by Vita Maria Drygas  "Piano," and a couple of days later, at the festival MakeDox appears the Polish-Icelandic production "Grace of God" by Kristján Loðmfjörð. At the same time, in Italy, you can see "Strongwoman" by Kacper Czubak and Iwona Kaliszewska that will participate in the competition during the Film Festival della Lessina. In August, two festival screenings await the animated film "A Documentary Film" by Marcin Podolec - first, it will appear at Sarajevo Film Festival, and later at Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.

The month ends with the Danish festival in Odense, where "Object" by Paulina Skibińska is invited to the competition.
