"PAPARAZZI" AND "THE CONVERSATION" AWARDED IN MINSK

On 9 November, in Minsk, the 19th International Film Festival Listapad ended. Among the award-winning films, there are two Polish documentaries: "Paparazzi" by Piotr Bernaś and "The Conversation" by Piotr Sułkowski

The main award in the best short documentary competition went to the début film by Piotr Bernaś - "Paparazzi". The videocamera accompanies a Polish paparazzo - Przemysław Stopa - in his everyday work, which consists in tracking more or less sensational events in the life of the stars. "Paparazzi" has already won, among others, the nomination for the Europan Film Award, Golden Frog for the best short length documentary, won at the Cameraimage festival in 2011, or the best documentary award at the International Music and Film Festival in Latvia.

 In the competition for films made in film schools, "The Conversation" by Piotr Sułkowski was chosen by the jury as the best documentary. The film, produced by the Leon Schiller National Higher Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź, was shown at many international festivals and have already won, among others, the best short documentary award at the International Film Festival in Tirana in 2011.

It is worth mentioning that the film "My father's bike" by Piotr Trzaskalski won the audience's award "Bronze Listapad" in the feature film competition.
