LAST DAYS TO APPLY FOR BIO TO B – INDUSTRY DAYS
The call for projects for the 13th edition of Bio to B – Industry Days – an audiovisual industry market held as part of the Biografilm Festival – is coming to a close. The event will take place in Bologna on 8–10 June 2026.
Bio to B is aimed at European documentary professionals and serves as a platform for sales, networking, project development, and training. It also functions as a meeting point for the publishing and audiovisual worlds – connecting the documentary sector with the search for new real-life stories to be adapted for the screen. The organisers emphasise that the event brings together filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, and festival representatives around true stories that continue to inspire the industry.
Two submission tracks are still open for this year’s edition:
Pitching Forum – deadline: 15 March
As part of the Pitching Forum, 20 selected teams will present their projects to an international audience of film institutions, producers, distributors, sales agents, festival selectors, and commissioning editors. This year’s edition has been expanded with new partners offering cash awards and service packages for the strongest projects. In addition to the public pitches, the programme includes one-to-one meetings tailored to each project’s profile, as well as participation in the Pitching Lab—a three-step preparation scheme comprising a group session, mentoring with experienced tutors, and a final rehearsal with a guest mentor simulating a live Q&A.
Co-production Corner – deadline: 22 March 2026
At the same time, submissions are open for the first edition of the Co-production Corner, a programme designed for European production companies seeking Italian co-production partners for documentary projects in development. Selected producers will take part in a moderated roundtable with leading Italian documentary producers, creating a focused space for exchange and the first steps towards potential co-productions.
