„Chemo” the prize-winner in Leipzig

52nd DOK LEIPZIG - International Festival for Documentary and Animated Film has just finished. There are two Polish films among the prize-winners.

 “Chemo” by Paweł Łoziński was given the MDR Film Prize, worth € 3000. The Jury acknowledged this film for being “a visual masterpiece, possessing masterful material.” Aleksander Gutman's film “17th August” was given an award in the short-length films. This documentary is an international co-production, with Eureka Media from Poland.

 

Paweł Łoziński is a graduate of the Directing Faculty at Polish National Film School in Łódź. He is the author of many documentary films, among others: “Birth Place”(1992),  “The Way It Is” (1999), “Sisters” (1999), “Between the Doors”(2004), “Exiles” (2005), “Kitty, Kitty”(2005), “Chemo”(2009). Also the prize-winner of prestigious film awards, among others in Bornholm, Paris, Leipzig and Krakow.
