THE PRESIDENT
POLISH TITLE: PREZYDENT
A psychological portrait of Tadeusz Pierzyna who, after surviving a period of misery and hunger in his early years, promised himself to become president and to not experience hunger anymore. This dream becomes his obsession. The fear of hunger caused him to focus entirely on producing articles of food and to engage in a struggle to find uses forwaste. The film was made at Tadeusz Pierzyna’s farm and features him as one of the pioneers of an environmentally conscious approach to the production of food.
