HOW „SOLIDARITY” WAS CREATED
POLISH TITLE: JAK POWSTAŁA „SOLIDARNOŚĆ”
Five years ago, at the Gdańsk shipyard, Piotr Uklański, a Polish artist, carried out an exceptional project – he made the Solidarity movement logo out of two and a half thousand soldiers and then captured it on a photographic plate. The documentary is a recording of the preparations to this unique undertaking. The laborious process of drawing the trade union sign contours, precise logistics and the management of the crowd of several thousand people by the Polish Army were rewarded by achieving an interesting visual effect.
