Lola was adopted into a Belgian family eleven years ago when she was an infant. Over the years, she has been imagining the reunion with her birth family in China. Urodzona w Hohhot (Mongolia Wewnętrzna) w 1988 r. Ukończyła studia licencjackie z filmoznawstwa na Akademii Filmowej w Pekinie w 2009, po czym postanowiła kontynuować swoją przygodę z filmem. Obecnie studiuje reżyserię w Szkole Filmowej w Łodzi.
