GINTROWSKI

Who would not hum at least once in a lifetime “and the walls will come down, come down, come down and bury the old world”? The director managed to convince such renowned figures as Agnieszka Holland, Bogusław Linda, Maciej Ślesicki, Adam Sztaba, Janusz Zaorski and Marcin Meller to take part in the film about Przemysław Gintrowski, one of the most famous singers and song writers of the anticommunist movement. Gintrowski is a portrait of a rebellious artist who, unexpectedly, lost the reason for creation when Poland became a free country.

Arkadiusz Bartosiak »

born in 1975. Graduated from economics (surprisingly). He worked for a Polish national daily “Rzeczpospolita” as a reporter and foreign correspondent (wandered around the world, and seen a lot). For a long time he's interviewing celebrities for the Polish edition of “Playboy” (all can be read at www.wywiadowcy.pl). In his old age returned to his adolescent fascinations (midlife crisis?). He makes his directional debut with a short film “Glue”.
