Michał Stankiewicz (born 1983 in Białystok, Poland) is an artist working at the intersection of theatre, visual arts and new media. His practice explores the relationships between the body, memory and technology, treating the viewer’s presence and engagement as integral elements of the artwork. Since 2010, he has been developing projects focused on memory, culture and the vanishing landscapes of the Podlasie region. In recent years, his work has also expanded into immersive forms that combine theatrical experience with new technologies. Being in You continues his exploration of interactive storytelling.
