POLISH PROJECT AT DOCU TALENTS FROM THE EAST

Street Poets by Edyta Adamczak and Michał Mądracki has found itself in an elite group of nine projects qualified for Docu Talents from the East 2022.

Docu Talents from the East is a program aimed at filmmakers from Eastern and Central Europe that allows directors and producers of selected documentary projects to present their films during the Sarajevo Film Festival. The 8-minute-long presentations will take place as part of the CineLink Industry Days section.

The most promising project has the chance to win the Docu Talent Award, which includes $5,000 in financial support.

Documentary filmmakers from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Northern Macedonia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Ukraine are eligible to participate in the program.  

One of the projects qualified for this year's edition is made by Edyta Adamczak and Michał Mądracki. Edyta Adamczak, the director, is also responsible for production for MML studio. Street Poets will take a closer look at young poets living in Brazilian favelas. The documentary aims to be a universal story about the intangible wealth every person has inside themselves. 

Project presentations will take place on 15 August during CineLink Industry Days held at the festival in Sarajevo.
