POLISH DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN JANUARY

January is an exceptionally quiet month as far as festival screenings are concerned. In spite of this, you can watch Polish documentary films at several festivals this month.

The festival year starts with the screening of the documentary film "Festival" by Anna Gawlita and Tomasz Wolski that appears at the Jaipur International Film Festival. A few days later, at the FIPA DOC in France, the audience will have a chance to watch "One Two Zero" by Anna Pawluczuk as well as "Dust" by Jakub Radej.

In the second half of the month, two important festivals are held in the USA: the Sundance and the Slamdance. At the first one, "The Tough " by Marcin Polar will participate, whereas at the second one, the documentary film "The Beksińskis. A Sound and Picture Album" by Marcin Borchardt will have its American premiere.

In Hungary, at the Budapest International Documentary Festival, "Sisters" by Michał Hytroś and "The Ugliest Car in the World" by Grzegorz Szczepaniak will be shown.

The festival January ends with the screening of films at the 10th Antarctis Film Festival, which is held at the Finnish research station Aboa in Antarctica. The audience, consisting of the staff of the research station, will have the opportunity to watch the films: "Collection" by Marcin Polar, „Zhalanash – Emtpy Shore" by Marcin Sauter and "Sisters" by Michał Hytroś.
