In the second half of the month, two important festivals are held in the USA: the Sundance and the Slamdance. At the first one, "The Tough " by Marcin Polar will participate, whereas at the second one, the documentary film "The Beksińskis. A Sound and Picture Album" by Marcin Borchardt will have its American premiere.
The festival January ends with the screening of films at the 10th Antarctis Film Festival, which is held at the Finnish research station Aboa in Antarctica.
