2 DAYS LEFT TO VOTE FOR THE EUROPEAN FILM AWARDS

Communion, the documentary debut feature film directed by Anna Zamecka, produced in 2017 by HBO Poland, Otter Films, and Wajda Studio, has been shortlisted for the European Academy Awards 2017 Documentary Selection.

The final deadline for the voting is October 18 at 23.59 CET. 5 Documentaries will be selected (out of 15) to be nominated for the EFA in December!

"Communion" tells the story of a 14 years old girl, Ola, who takes care of her dysfunctional father, autistic brother and a mother who lives separately. But most of all she tries to reunite the family - she lives in the hope of bringing her mother back home. Her 13 years old brother Nikodem’s Holy Communion is a pretext for the family to meet up. Ola is entirely responsible for preparing the perfect family celebration, whereas Nikodem is watching his family's struggle from his own, exceptional perspective.

„Communion” has already won a lot of awards at international festivals. Only last month Anna Zamecka's documentary won an award at Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in Japan, DMZ Docs in South Korea and a special mention at the Flahertiana Festival in Russia.
