CALL FOR ENTRIES TO VISEGRAD SHORTS ON TOUR 2012
Visegrad Shorts on Tour opens the call for short films for the first edition of the travelling film festival devoted exclusively to films produced in Visegrad countries. The author of the best film will receive 1000 euros and among other finalists will travel to four Visegrad countries presenting his film on the festival tour. The deadline for submission is 23rd March.
Daazo.com (Hungary) supported by Visegrad Found in cooperation with Kino Praha (Czech Republic), OZ Publikum.sk (Slovakia) and Krakow Film Foundation, invites you to submit your film to the premiere edition of Visegrad Shorts on Tour. During the six days on tour the festival will screen the most innovative work made by directors under 35 years old living in Visegrad region. The authours of six winning films, selected to the final programme, will travel from Krakow through Prague, Bratislava straight to Budapest presenting their films to the viewers in four partner countries. International jury will select the winner, who on 18th April will be awarded the Visegrad Short Film Award and 1000 euro. At the same time films will be displayed on internet for voting for the best film at Daazo.com.
The competition is open to all genres of short films with the running time not exceeding 20 minutes, produced after 1st January 2009. Registration can be made through Daazo.com only till 23rd March.
Visegrad Shorts on Tour was set up with the view to promote the work of young filmmakers by giving them the chance of presenting their films to the audiences abroad. Festival will be held between 12th and 18th April in four cities of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
