Born in 1973 in Krakow. She is a gradu­ate of the Film Dir­ect­ing Depart­ment at the National Film, Tele­vi­sion and Theatre School in Łódź (1998). She has made suc­cess­ful doc­u­ment­ar­ies includ­ing Silence (1997), Seven Les­sons of Love (1999), Ślub w domu sam­ot­ności (2000), Dok­u­ment… (2001), Mój tata Maciek (2005) and fea­ture films includ­ing A Happy Man (2000), The Stranger (2004), Ojciec (2005) – a short story in the film Solid­ar­ity, Solid­ar­ity… She has been a win­ner of numer­ous awards at fest­ivals in, among oth­ers, Angers, Bologna, Tampere, Wies­baden, Tar­nów and Krakow.
