KAROLINA ŚMIGIEL IN THE EMERGING PRODUCERS PROGRAMME

A list of producers who have been invited to the next edition of the prestigious Emerging Producers program has been announced. Polish producer Karolina Śmigiel was also among 17 names chosen for the programme.

Emerging Producers is a program focused on education and promotion for talented producers of documentary films from the European Union countries accompanying the festival in Jihlava.

The aim of the program is to integrate a new generation of producers with professionals who have been successfully operating for many years in various fields of the film industry, which is to bear fruit for the future of European documentary co-productions. The organizers want to create a friendly environment that enables diverse and creative projects. 

Karolina Śmigiel is a film producer, cultural project manager, board member of Uni‑Solo Studio, member and co‑founder of Wild Berry Film Association, co‑creator, and coordinator of the Abstract Thinking Festival and other educational activities, expert and cultural animator. Her filmography includes: "The Dragon Spring"(producer, doc, 57’, 2017); "The End of the Valley of Tears" (co‑producer,doc, 2020).

Now she's developing a new project "Nanga Dream" by Jarosław Wszędybył about he climbers Tomek Mackiewicz and Marek Klonowski - outsiders in the world of himalism.
