LAST SUPPER

POLISH TITLE: OSTATNIA WIECZERZA

The starting point of the picture is a story about creating the “Last Supper” painting by Maciej Świeszewski (painter, Gdańsk Art’s Academy professor) – a monumental canvas filled with symbolic, that caused a considerable artistic scandal and extreme critical reactions. Sylwester Latkowski claims that what interested him by creating the film was not only this particular work of art, but also a human being that made it. That is why his document became a kind of a painter’s film-diary, a record of struggles not only with a matter of art, but also with daily life.
