POLISH TITLE: BALLADA O DOMU

Fritz Wolf was born in 1922 roku in Rohrlach (Trzcińsko). After the war his family was displaced. Now he comes back to the old places – the Goetz family lives in his old home. Their grandfather, Karol Ścimborski, was born in 1928 in Dmytriv. He was deported to Poland after the war. Now, together with his family, he goes to Ukraine to look for the traces of the past. It is a moving story about people and their lost homes.

Born in 1964. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia. Member of Polish Association of Filmmakers. He has been a director of photography of over 80 documentary films and 10 fiction films, he has directed television programmes, advertising and documentary films, among them being "Landscape Before Silence" (1996), "Touch Me" (1999), "Life on the Edge of Creation" (2001), "Faith, Hope, Love" (2002), "Maria and Anna" (2008).

born in 1957 in Lublin. He is a graduate of pedagogy at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. A director of ‘Chatka Żaka’, the Academic Centre of Culture of the UMCS University in Lublin. An originator and
director of the International Days of Documentary Film ‘Rozstaje Europy.’ A producer. An author of more than 20 documentary films, among others: Brothers of the Same God (1996), ...Embedded in David’s Star – the Cross (1997), The March of the Living (2003), Files (2004), A Ballad about Home (2006), A Story of a Conscience (2007). An award winner of many festivals, among others, in New York, Odessa, Lodz and Krakow.
