In the centre of Warsaw, where Nowy Swiat and Aleje Jerozlimskie cross each other, a palm showed up; it is a project by Joanna Rajkowska, one of the most controversial Polish artists of recent years. It was placed there in 2002; it was supposed to stand there for just one year, yet remained to this day. Is there a chance that the palm will become a part of Warsaw’s map? Rafal Zurek’s film shows the beginnings of the project
and obstacles that the artist had to overcome.
