Maciej Cuske »

Born in 1972 in Bydgoszcz. He is a graduate of the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw. He started as an amateur (What do you think about it, Gałuszko?, 12000 kilometres), during his studies he participated in the production of Silence (2003). The Cure (2004), Old Book Store (2005) and The Suburban Train (2007) were awarded at the Krakow Film Festival. He is also the author of documentaries: Ahoy (2006), Katyń. 60 Days on the Film Set (2007), In the Sky, on Earth (2007). An award winner at the festivals, among others, in Győr, Paris, Cieszyn, Łagów, Wrocław and Toruń.

Piotr Stasik »

Graduate of the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing and the Institute of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw. He is a co-initiator of the “ę” Society of Creative Initiatives and worked as a lecturer in the Film Kindergarten of the Wajda School as well as a chairman of the Film 1,2 Association. He made a film series which includes How to Make a Movie (2010) and Muzykoteka szkolna (2011). His documentaries "Diary of Journey" (2013), "The Last Day of the Summer" (2010), "7 x Moscow" (2005) were screened and awarded at many festivals. In 2016 he was nominated for the European Film Award for his film "21xNew York".

Magdalena Kowalczyk »

Was born in 1983 r. in Warsaw. She graduated from documentary course in the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. Her film “Reflection” was made during the „Film Kindergarden” Course in Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. The film was awarded on the XII IFF "ETIUDA&ANIMA" 2005. She’s a one of director’s in “Silence II” – a set of etudes made by students of the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing and a co-director in the Polish-German project “Reflection” – a set of shorts made as a result of cooperation of the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing and the International Filmschul Koln in 2006. Her last short documentary is called “By the river” (2006)

Edyta Wróblewska »

Graduated from Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing and Camerimage Film School in Poland. Also graduated from Warsaw School of Economics and French Institute of Management. For several years she has been working for media companies (Agora S.A., Wizja TV, AtomicTV, The Warsaw Voice). In 2006 she took part in Berlinale Talent Campus. Her filmmaking experience includes directing, scriptwriting and production. Her documentary films were screened at many international film festivals (Toronto, New York, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, London, Sheffield, Nice, Zagreb, Kiev, Guangzhou, Melbourne, Cracow, Wroclaw and many more). A member of Polish Filmmakers Association. 

Paweł Ferdek »

Scriptwriter,  documentary filmmaker, globtrotter. A graduate of Warsaw University (International Relations), Akademia Praktyk Teatralnych "Gardzienice" and  European film programme EKRAN in Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing.

Kalina Alabrudzińska »

born in 1983 in Płock. Director and scriptwriter. Graduated from Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. Finishing master studies at Directing Departement in Lodz Film School. Her short films were presented at many international film festivals: Berlinale, MFF New Horizons, San Sebastian Film Festival, Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival and many more.

Marcin Bortkiewicz »

Born in 1976 in Słupsk. This graduate of the University of Gdańsk and th Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing since 1991 has been associated with Rondo Theatre in Słupsk as an actor, scriptwriter and director. In 2006 he began cooperation with producer Darek Dikti and Biuro Pomysłów, a film production company. His short documentary forms include Cisza (2003), The Rules of the Game (2004), Zrobię film dla Ciebie – Gdynia (2007) and Row, row, row (2008).

Bartek Konopka »

Oscar nominated for the “Rabbit a la Berlin” (2009) documentary that was shown at more than 70 festivals, received a dozen prizes and had been sold to 40 countries. His feature fiction debut “Fear of Falling” (2011) premiered at Montreal IFF (awarded at Mannheim, Mumbai, Lecce, Vincennes, Gdynia). Released in cinemas in France, Spain, Iran and  Poland. Author of many documentaries and couple of fictions that gained an international acclaim. Bartek is a graduate of film studies at the Jagiellonian University Krakow and Film Directing at the Silesian University in Katowice. Member of European Film Academy and the Board of Polish Film Institute.

Agnieszka Smoczyńska »

A graduate of the history of art at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (2001), cultural studies at the University of Wroclaw (2002), directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Department at the Silesia University in Katowice (2005) and the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw (2006). The author of short fiction and documentary films: Guanipa (2003), Kapelusz (2003), 3 Love (2004), Orphans (2005), Article 567 (2006). A laureate of many festival awards.
