THE UNSUBMISSIVE

POLISH TITLE: NIEPOKORNY

An attempt to portray Father Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski, a chaplain of Solidarity in Nowa Huta, the president of the Brother Albert’s Foundation in Radwanowice, the author of the book Clergy Versus the Secret Police. The film is a story of struggle for the right to reveal the truth about the collaboration of some clergymen with the communist Poland secret services. Thus it becomes a testimony of a heated debate about the attitude the Polish church should adopt today towards its recent past.
