A Latino atmosphere emanates from this fond observation of Warsaw’s left bank district, Praga. A documentary fresco of loose composition, the film has distinctive characteristics of Borzęcka’s style. The director is fascinated with people and looks at them as if they were artists of life performing their theatrical parts before her camera.

scriptwriter and documentary film director born in 1962. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Journalism at Warsaw University, she has made over twenty documentary films including Urodziłem się aniołem (1986), Sprawa szeryfa (1987), Trzynastka (1996), Kobieta, kot, dziecko (1996), Arizona (1997), They (1999), Pociąg Warszawa–Rzym (2005) and Dziennik pokładowy (2007). Her pictures have won a number of festival awards in Bornholm, Leipzig, Oberhausen, Tokyo, Kielce, Łódź, Kraków (one Golden and two Bronze Hobby Horses) and elsewhere.
