LET THEM LOVE, LET THEM DREAM

POLISH TITLE: POZWÓL KOCHAĆ, POZWÓL MARZYĆ

“Let Love, Let Dream” is a humorous story about love, dreams and the important role that music therapy plays in the lives of the disabled. The protagonists of the film are the participants of Occupational Therapy Workshops organised by the Children’s Friends Society in Świętochłowice, within the frames of which the music group Tolerancja was formed ten years ago. It is a unique band which breaks all the stereotypes about the disabled. The boys play music on a professional level, of which no band would be ashamed. So far, they gave two hundred concerts and recorded three albums. They say that they cannot imagine life without music, because, when they are on the stage, they do not feel inferior. The filmmakers tried, most of all, to capture everyday life of the protagonists. Thanks to this, we can see the world of the disabled from the inside. A world that is seemingly very different from the one we live in. However, when we take a closer look at the protagonists, get to know their dilemmas and the emotions which they feel, we notice that we have a lot in common. They experience unrequited love just like we do, they have their own dreams and make plans for the future. However, in their case some of these plans will remain unfulfilled dreams...
