„Belarusian Waltz” by Fidyk - Emmy-nominee

Andrzej Fidyk’s film „Belarusian Waltz” is nominated for the EMMY award in the „outstanding arts & cultural programming” category.

Belarusian Waltz” was made as Polish-Norwegian co-production, but the film-making team includes only Poles(apart from the director Andrzej Fidyk, Adam Fresko – photography, Stanisław Kolenda – sound, Krzesimir Dębski – music, Ryszard Urbaniak – producer).

Film’s author presents the fate of controversial artist Aleksander Puszkin. He tells a lot about today’s Byelorussia – a country hanging between East and West, existing a little outside time and civilization. Through his observations, the director passes on universal truth about people, who are a bit thoughtless and thoughtful, sincere in a Slavic way, but also hypocritical.

Belarusian Waltz” has already been nominated for European Film Award and Prix Europa.
