The Film Group Paladino’s film “Andrzej Wajda; Let’s shoot!” pro­duced by Andrzej Wajda School, received Grand Prix dur­ing the Inter­na­tional Film Fest­ival of European Art “Arts& Film” in Prague. 

The jury of the Czech fest­ival awar­ded the film in the New Gen­er­a­tion cat­egory. The film’s authors, mem­bers of the Film Group Paladino, are gradu­ates of Andrzej Wajda School of Film Directing.

They are among the best doc­u­ment­ary film dir­ectrs of the new gen­er­a­tion. Their films are full of humour and warm-​hearted obser­va­tions, present­ing a new way of loook­ing at the real­ity. They all have excep­tion­ally cre­at­ive attitude.

The film “Andrzej Wajda: let’s shoot!”, pro­duced by Andrzej Wajda Film School in cop­ro­duc­tion with Pol­ish Tele­com, is a por­trait of the dir­ector dur­ing the shoot­ing of one of the most per­sonal of his film — Katyń. The young film­makers accom­pan­ied him in moments of con­cen­tra­tion, tired­ness and joy, and dur­ing the con­ver­sa­tions with the act­ors. Observing his work on the set, the viewer has an oppor­tun­ity to see what Andrzej Wajda is really like — unique because of his sens­ib­il­ity, pas­sion and feel­ing of mis­sion. The fest­ive film premiere took place in May dur­ing this year’s Planet Doc Festival.
