„The End of the Sum­mer” by Piotr Stasik is among nine of the best doc­u­ment­ary Pro­ject presen­ted within the frame­work of „Docu Tal­ents from the East” dur­ing this year Inter­na­tional Film Fest­ival in Kar­love Vary. 

„Docu Tal­ents from the East“, organ­ised by Jih­lava IDFF, Insti­tute of Doc­u­ment­ary Film and Kar­lovy Vary IFF, is the review of the brand new, bud­ding pro­jects from East­ern Europe. The dir­ector, together with the pro­du­cer Jacek Nagłowski, presen­ted the pro­ject in per­son dur­ing the 7^th of July meet­ing in Kar­love Vary. 

„The End of the Sum­mer“ will be a poetic jour­ney to child­hood and a story of the dif­fi­culties con­nec­ted with com­ing of age – a tale of sev­eral char­ac­ters aged 7 to 17. This 50-​minute doc­u­ment­ary is pro­duced by Cent­rala, whose artistic out­put includes doc­u­ment­ar­ies such as „Gugara“, „On the Sky, on Earth“ and „The Clinic“.

Piotr Stasik has gradu­ated from The Andrzej Wajda Mas­ter School of Film Dir­ect­ing, and now is author of doc­u­ment­ary films such as „7 x Moscow“, „One by one“, „Above the Pave­ments“. Together with Maciej Cuske, Mar­cin Sauter, Thi­erry Paladino and Michał Mar­czak he is the mem­ber of The Paladino Film Group.
