RETROSPECTIVE OF PAWEŁ ŁOZIŃSKI'S FILMS AT THE MUSEUM OF THE MOVING IMAGE IN NEW YORK

In December, eight outstanding documentaries by Pawel Łoziński will be presented to the audience at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. It's a great opportunity to catch up with earlier films and see The Balcony Movie, which is up for an Oscar nomination this year

The review, called “In the Neighbourhood: The Films of Paweł Łoziński”, will be held at the prestigious Museum of the Moving Image in New York. The program features nine films, including one made by the director's father. In addition to the latest The Balcony Movie, viewers will get the chance to catch up on Birthplace, The Sisters, The Way It Is, The Ukrainian Cleaning Lady, Chemo, Father and Son, You Have No Idea How Much I Love You, and the political documentary How It's Done made by the Oscar-nominated Marcel Łoziński.

Paweł Łoziński – born in 1965 in Warsaw. Director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and producer of documentary films. Graduate of the Directing Department at the Łódź Film School. He is the author of more than 20 documentaries that have won numerous awards at Polish and international festivals. He makes emotionally charged documentary films that look at people in a highly intimate way. He gained international recognition with his documentary debut Birthplace (1992). His later films Sisters (1999), The Way It Is (1999), Chemo (2009), Father and Son (2013), You Have No Idea How Much I Love You (2016), and The Balcony Movie (2021) are considered innovative, take up new topics and unexplored areas in documentary film. Winner of prestigious festival awards, including in Locarno, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Leipzig, and Kraków.

The event will be held on 2–4 December.
