POLISH DOCS PRO AT CPH:DOX 2022

CPH:DOX Festival, held in Copenhagen, is one of the biggest film festivals for documentaries in the world. The festival is accompanied by one of the most important events for documentary film professionals – CPH:Industry where the Polish Delegation will be present.

CPH Industry is a set of events dedicated to financing (CPH Forum), sales and distribution (CPH Market), and also a lot of presentations and networking events aimed at searching international partners.

At this year’s CPH Industry Polish filmmakers will attend the industry events within a frame of Polish Docs Pro delegation, organized by the Krakow Film Foundation. One of the key event of Polish presence at CPH:DOX  will be the MEET THE POLISH DOCS PRO DELEGATION  – when KFF will tell more about financing, producing and co-producing possibilities with Poland and producers will present themselves and their creative documentary projects in progress.

Katarzyna Kuczyńska / HAKA FILMS (project „One for the Team” by Katarzyny Wiśniowskiej)

Marta Szymanowska / VN LAB (project  „1_City” by Pola Borkiewicz)

Marcin Borchardt / PINOT FILMS (project „The Themersons”)

 

Presentation will be held on Wednesday, March 30th at 15.00 - 16.30, the session will be followed by the round tables with the decision makers on Thursday, March 31st.

Moreover 3 Polish films will be presented at the festival program. Łukasz Kowalski’s „Pawnshop” will have its world premiere in the competition while „The Balcony Movie” by Paweł Łoziński and „Judges under Pressure” by Kacper Lisowski will be screened in the out-of-competition sections. The project Polish Docs PRO focuses primarily on a wide promotion of Polish documentary film industry at international events addressed to film professionals. It supports film-makers and producers in developing their projects by facilitating access to the markets abroad, co-coordinating the trips of delegations to the pitching forums and co-production markets, organising the presentations of projects, production models and co-production opportunities with Poland, organising networking meetings, participation in lectures, panel discussions, workshops and training sessions. The aim of the Polish Docs PRO is to establish the brand of Polish documentary film in the international film environment and to develop international co-operation.

The project is substantively coordinated by the Krakow Film Foundation in co-operation with Doc Lab Poland and is implemented with the financial support of the Polish Film Institute, the Ministry of Culture and the National Heritage.
