CPH:DOX has been held in Copenhagen since 2003. The event is considered to be the third largest documentary film festival in the world. It is frequently attended by the Danish audience as well as foreign guests and major artists.

The Pawnshop by Łukasz Kowalski will have its world premiere at the festival in competition section Next: Wave Award. The protagonists of the production are Jola and Wiesiek, an entrepreneurial couple who runs the largest pawn shop in southern Poland. It was a very profitable business in the past, but now it's mostly in the red. Financial troubles start to affect their relationship. The documentary is produced by Anna Mazerant. The film is made for 4.30 Studio and co-produced by Silesia Film.

The non-competitive sections will feature Kacper Lisowski's Judges Under Pressure and The Balcony Movie by Paweł Łoziński.
