POLISH DOCUMENTARY FILMS AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN MARCH

With the coming spring, film festivals are slowly waking up. There will be no lack of Polish documentary films at several important events. Be sure to check out where you can watch our films this month.

It will be a good month for the documentary film by Michał Bielawski. "The Wind. A Documentary Thriller" is invited to several festivals, and the first screening is held this week, during the 22nd edition of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. Later, the documentary film about the halny wind will be shown in the competition at the American Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital (DCEFF), The Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival and the Salem Film Fest 2020. The film will also be present in the programme of the Zagreb Dox, where "Dam" by Natalia Koniarz will compete for the awards, too.

In the first half of March starts the IFF Febiofest Bratislava. Two Polish documentary films have a chance to win the awards there: "The Tough" by Marcin Polar and "My Country So Beautiful" by Grzegorz Paprzycki. In turn, at the end of the month, in Ukraine, the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will be held. The viewers will have a chance to watch as many as foru Polish documentary films. The films invited to the competition are "19:91" by Emilia Śniegoska, "Of Animals and Men" by Łukasz Czajka and "Family2" by Yifan Sun, and in the non-competing section, you can watch "Pure Art" by Maksim Shved.

At the turn of March and April, the International Documentary Film Festival Millenium will be held, with two Polish documentary films in its programme. "Strip And War" by Andrei Kutsila and "Letters to A." by Wiktoria Szymańska will vie for the awards in Belgium.

The organisers of the Festival International du Film d’Aubagne - Music & Cinema chose the penultimate day of March as the date of opening their event, and they invited "Horse Riders" by Anna Gawlita to the competition.
